Phase 1 live Sub-Saharan Africa · Developed in Mauritius

Better coordination between farmers and buyers across Africa.

LakazAgri Phase 1 is a simple Android app for Sub-Saharan agri systems: smallholders post what they have available — hotels, markets, traders, and institutions post what they will need. Plan ahead. Reduce waste. Build reliable local and regional food supply chains.

  • Offline-first Built for rural connectivity
  • Two roles Farmer & buyer flows
  • Africa-ready Districts, villages, local markets

Built for Sub-Saharan agri-food systems

  • Smallholder farmers
  • Agricultural cooperatives
  • Hotels & resorts
  • Markets & retailers
  • Traders & aggregators
  • Institutions & programmes

Production and demand rarely meet in time.

Across Sub-Saharan Africa, smallholders often plant without clear visibility of what buyers will need. Hotels, markets, and institutions struggle with inconsistent local supply. The result is post-harvest waste, unstable farmer incomes, and missed opportunities for domestic and regional food systems.

Blind planting

Farmers produce without advance signals from hotels, institutions, or retailers — leading to surplus or the wrong mix of crops.

Unpredictable supply

Buyers face last-minute shortages, variable quality, and heavy reliance on intermediaries with little planning data.

No shared view

There is limited coordination between production and market demand — and almost no aggregated data for local planning.

One app. Two roles. Clear signals both ways.

Phase 1 focuses on the foundation for African value chains: register as a farmer or buyer, post availability or demand, and browse what the market needs — all on a mobile-first, offline-capable Android app designed for rural conditions.

  1. 01

    Choose your role

Open LakazAgri and select I am a Farmer or I am a Buyer. You can change roles later in settings.

  2. 02

    Create a simple profile

Register with full name, phone number, location (district/village/region), and optional organisation or farm name. Privacy-first by design.

  3. 03

    Post availability or demand

Farmers share crop, quantity, location, and date available. Buyers post product needed, quantity, deadline, and preferred area or market.

  4. 04

    Browse & plan ahead

See current market demand, align planting and procurement, and reduce the guesswork that creates waste and empty shelves.

Everything you need to start coordinating supply and demand.

  • Register as a farmer with location and farm details

Mobile-first Android

Designed for phones farmers and buyers already use — install the Phase 1 APK and start in minutes.

Role-based experience

Dedicated farmer and buyer paths so each user only sees what they need to act on today.

Local market context

Districts, villages, and regional market language baked into registration and posting — adaptable across African markets.

Respects real relationships

Supports existing trusted links between growers, coops, aggregators, and buyers — does not force anonymous marketplace trading.

Small signals. Big impact on waste and planning.

Phase 1 does not try to replace every intermediary or certify every crate. It solves the first bottleneck: visibility. When buyers say what they need and farmers show what they have, both sides can plan — and local and regional food systems across Sub-Saharan Africa get stronger.

  • Plan ahead Advance demand signals for hotels, markets, traders and institutions
  • Cut waste Less surplus planting and fewer last-minute procurement surprises
  • Local first Supports food security and stronger domestic and regional sourcing
  • Pilot-ready Baseline backend, core flows, and APK for early testers across the region

Phase 1 is the foundation. More layers follow.

We are shipping deliberately: prove coordination first, then add matching, transparency, and verified trust.
